某个华丽的大剧场内，优雅的交响乐响起。随着观众们热烈的掌声，古菲（品托·考维格 Pinto Colvig 配音）拉开大幕，盛大的演出即将开始。少顷，米奇（沃尔特·迪斯尼 Walt Disney 配音）迈着稳健的步伐走到舞台中央，他是一名魔术师，此次将为观众表演令人叹为观止的魔术。可是他的表演才开始没多久，就遇到了阻碍。原来，坐在舞台附近的唐老鸭（克拉伦斯·纳什 Clarence Nash 配音）大声喧哗，起哄吵闹，肆意干扰米奇的表演。在此之后，米奇和这个讨厌的家伙展开了连番魔术大对决……片中古菲把手插入电源内使灯泡亮起的场景在某些版本中会被删除。
