◎简 介
清明时节，细雨斜织，西湖断桥别是一番愁绪。扫墓乘船归来的书生许仙（池部良 饰）路遇白蛇变化的富家小姐白娘子（山口淑子/李香兰 饰）及其奴婢小青（八千草薰 饰）。郎才女貌，加上前世姻缘，两人相互吸引。许仙苦于贫穷，无力迎娶白娘子。白娘子并不嫌弃，自掏银两筹备婚礼。然这笔钱财乃自官府所盗，许仙因此受到残酷刑讯，更被流放苏州府。依恋许仙的白娘子不久尾随而至，纠缠百年的姻缘剪不断，理还乱……本片根据中国民间传说《白蛇传》以及林房雄的《白夫人の妖術》改编，由邵氏公司和东宝共同制作。
