◎简 介
虎克（伊利亚·伍德 Elijah Wood 饰）的父亲在他很小的时候就抛弃了他，可是近日来，这个男人的行为非常的反常，竟然开始主动关心起自己的儿子来，实际上，他心里打着自己的算盘。原来，虎克得到了一笔价值不菲的遗产，这就是父亲接近他的原因。不仅如此，虎克的父亲甚至打算杀死亲生儿子来获得这笔钱。为了避开父亲，也为了保命，虎克踏上了冒险的旅途。在途中，虎克结识了名为吉姆（考特尼·万斯 Courtney B. Vance 饰）的黑人奴隶，吉姆因为担心自己被卖掉而从雇主家里逃了出来。就这样，虎克和吉姆结伴前行，虎克决定帮助吉姆重新获得本就应该属于他的自由。
