一次偶然中，文森特（樊尚·马凯涅 Vincent Macaigne 饰）邂逅了名为莫娜（歌什菲·法拉哈尼 Golshifteh Farahani 饰）的女子。文森特立志成为一名电影演员，但如今，他只能靠出演电影里的龙套角色维生。而莫娜则是在巴黎火车站卖三明治的异国移民。两个社会底层的小人物之间很快就碰撞出了爱情的火花，很快，他们就走到了一起。幸福的日子没有持续太久，文森特发现了莫娜诡异的举动。每天晚上，她都要偷偷的只身一人前往监狱。对此迷惑不解的文森特只能向莫娜的好友阿贝尔（路易斯·加瑞尔 Louis Garrel 饰）求助，哪知道竟然就此撞破了莫娜试图隐藏的惊人秘密。
