◎简 介
桑尼是在路的游猎俱乐部工作的招待小姐，与两个男同性恋合租公寓。一天，桑尼下班后在白宫前围观从中东来访的埃米尔总统。在人群中她意外地发现了枪手，并以屁股挡住了射向埃米尔总统的子弹。
从此，桑尼不仅成了人人爱戴的国家英雄，而且与埃米尔总统结下了不解之缘。为了能在埃米尔领导的国家建立美国驻中东的军事基地，桑尼被请到国务院的礼宾司工作，可没经过任何训练的桑尼在接待中经常让人啼笑皆非。
为了桑尼，埃米尔总统再次来美国进行非官方性访问，礼宾司长圣约翰夫人指定桑尼专程陪同。桑尼在接待中把埃米尔一行带到因生意萧条而准备关门的路的游猎俱乐部，结果俱乐部因为桑尼和埃米尔总统的到来而顾客盈门。
埃米尔总统起程回国，并希望能与桑尼结婚。为了美国在中东的战略利益，礼宾司欺骗桑尼一同前往。可桑尼刚过了一天的王后生活，埃米尔的政府就被叛军推翻，埃米尔不得不带着桑尼跑回美国避难。桑尼得知自己被国家当做交易品利用后愤然离开了礼宾司，并在民意的支持下竞选议员成功。
