史蒂文（丹艾克洛德，「 福祿雙霸天2000 」、「 另類殺手 」）是個個性內向的天文學家，也是個鰥居的單親父親，當他的實驗在陰錯陽差下將一股巨大的能量送進太空時，他萬萬沒想到竟會對另一個星球造成為威脅，引起他們的恐慌，因而派出一位特使前來地球調查原因；這位特使為了方便調查，遂化身身材火辣的性感美女（奧斯卡最佳女配角，「 鐵面特警隊 」、「夢遊非洲」）接近史蒂文，想從他口中套出答案；飛來豔福的史蒂文愛上了這位舉止詭異的美女，因而向她求婚，讓她成為女兒的繼母，而外星美女也愛上了這位害羞的天文學家--和性愛--但她能找出那股能量的起因，解救母星的危機，並打消上級為以絕後患而欲將地球毀滅的決定嗎？本片是由理查班傑明（「 1996 麻雀變鳳凰 」、「 風月俏佳人 」）執導。
