◎简 介
18 岁的瑞奇·温考特刚离开寄养中心，必须面对食物、生计和未来的问题。他辍了学、回避毕业，像一个大人一样到外面自谋生路。他说，教育只会拖慢他的脚步。他觉得自己有能力养活自己。瑞奇·温考特遭遇了生活中的危险和诱惑。他成为了一桩失败劫案的头号嫌犯，爱上了意想不到的人。瑞奇没钱，只能住进平民窟，距离无家可归仅一步之遥，一个叫斯威姆的孩子警告他要提防着公寓所在大楼的经理。他们经历了一些美好的历险，比如醉醺醺地开车来到一幢房子，一个女孩在废弃的起居室里起舞，而他们也在一间到处是撕破的书的屋子里转圈圈。但是警察步步逼近，还有一个邪恶的陌生人恐吓要揭开瑞奇的过去，似乎没时间做出正确选择了。
