弗兰克．辛纳屈在当红时代以风流的花花公子形象知名，本片堪称是为他量身订造的浪漫喜剧。他在片中饰演时辰的纽约经纪人查理雷德，身边美女围绕有如家常便饭，他的好友乔麦柯尔从家乡来探望他时，对此现象不免大吃一惊。在一次试镜过程中，查理认识了年轻女演员茱莉吉莉丝，并主动要跟她约会。茱莉早知道查理花名在外，乃提早发出最后通碟：如不放弃风流成性的习惯，绝不会嫁给他。查理起初并不为意，但当身旁美女一个个离他而去时开始感到寂寞，最后不得不向茱莉求婚。导演查尔斯．沃尔特斯以轻快节奏和幽默处理本片，娱乐效果不错。
