◎简 介
叶剑飞（周润发 饰）从小在戏班长大，对生活现状很是不满意的他一直想要到美国，希望能够在那里出人头地，但他的偷渡计划却屡屡失败。一次偶然中，叶剑飞结识了名叫黄克强（万梓良 饰）的男子，两人一见如故，结为了好友。
黄克强和青梅竹马阿男（叶童 饰）两情相悦，无奈阿男的父亲却要 将阿男嫁给她并不喜欢的富家子弟，黄克强和阿男决定私奔。然而，就当三人跃跃欲试之际，战争爆发了，出国的计划再次流产。之后，阿男惨遭巡警强暴，黄克强终于得到了阿男父亲的认可，而叶剑飞则成为了“日军太保”，至此，三人依然没有忘记当初的约定，他们登上了难民船，开始了他们最后的旅行。
