十年燃烧自我，一生穷困潦倒，死后才被世人追捧。梵·高所到之处，每年都有数以万计的游客纷至沓来。从荷兰南部的小镇纽南，比利时的布鲁塞尔，到法国巴黎，以及梵·高度过生命最后时光的奥维尔小镇，摄制组都一一探访，寻找那些令人屏息凝神的杰作背后真实的风景和心境。
