故事发生在1958年的美国，梅根（布莱特·奥法特 Blythe Auffarth 饰）和苏珊（Madeline Taylor 饰）姐妹两在一场意外之中不幸失去了父母，成为了孤儿。按照法律规定，两人来到了她们的姑妈露丝（布兰奇·贝克 Blanche Baker 饰）家，本以为在这里能够得到庇护的两人并不知道的是，从踏进家门的那一刻起，她们就已经身临地狱。
