重新出土的【大俠梅花鹿】，是一部標榜「天然景禽獸裝的台語童話故事片」，影片結合「狼來了」、「龜兔賽跑」等家喻戶曉的童話故事，透過動物擬人化巧妙安排，構成了這部饒富趣味的KUSO台語影片，也改變過往對於悲情台語片的刻板印象。當年知名小生凌雲飾演的梅花鹿大俠與大角鹿爲了爭奪鹿小姐芳心，破壞了原本平靜快樂的森林，同時狐狸精對鹿小姐因心生忌妒，設下一連串陷阱詭計，卻因東窗事發而引狼入室。負責看守森林的小羊因常謊報「狼來了」，逐漸失去大家的信任，直到狼群入侵山羊公公的地盤，才喚起動物們的警覺心，紛紛武裝對抗敵人。一時之間山林裡掀起了熱鬧非凡的大混戰，最後幸虧鹿大俠英勇救美，才化解一場森林危機。當年的海報標語上的文案：天然景禽獸裝台語童話故事片、鹿小姐痴情、梅花鹿報仇、狐狸精引狼、吸血狼兇暴，真是太神奇了的五○年代啊！
