◎简 介
故事发生在新奥尔良的一家妓院里，一战将近，时局动荡不安，惟独在这所妓院里，一切都如往常一样井然有序的行进着。12岁的紫罗兰（波姬·小丝 Brooke Shields 饰）与母亲海蒂（苏珊·萨兰登 Susan Sarandon 饰）和弟弟相依为命，对她来说，最近唯一的大事就是自己即将要进行拍卖的童贞。
作为妓院御用的摄影师，贝洛克（基思·卡拉丹 Keith Carradine 饰）显得和开放的大环境有些格格不入，他的目光，一直都落在年幼而美艳的紫罗兰身上。不久之后，海蒂勾搭上了一个有钱人，随即带着儿子离开了妓院，紫罗兰成为了被抛弃的那一个。在紫罗兰走投无路的时候，贝洛克收留了她，两人开始了同居的生活，可是紫罗兰乖僻的性格让贝洛克无法忍受，这段感情最终以分手告终。然而，此时的两人并不知道的是，这只是他们漫长情感纠葛的开始。
