◎简 介
张正（周润发 饰）这名美籍华人被任命到中国大陆护送一件宝物运到美国。随后他来到了著名的少林寺等待消息。随和的他马上跟少林寺里一名七岁的小和尚清淳结下友谊之情。毕竟凡夫俗子与出家人的生活习惯存在很大的差异，就连文化差异上也存在很多的分歧。因此有很多事情，让身为客人的张正大感意外与不忿。
后来张正才知道，那宝物是一个拥有特异功能的少女小菁（吴倩莲 饰）。两人共同发现了一个大阴谋，却阻挡不了两人感情的增长。
