◎简 介
埃伦·安德鲁斯（克劳黛·考尔白 饰）与飞行员金·韦斯特利（詹姆森·托马斯 饰）的婚事遭到了富豪父亲（沃尔特·康诺利 饰）的极力反对。被困在游艇上的埃伦绝食无效，竟跳海逃走去找金。心急如焚的父亲派出侦探对女儿围追堵截，不料聪明的埃伦托人（艾玛·坦西 饰）在侦探眼皮底下买了去纽约的长途车票。旅行计划很完美，可是不谙世事的埃伦不仅行李被偷，还落下车票，错过了班车。而捡到车票的前记者彼得·沃恩（克拉克·盖博 饰）为了把票还给埃伦，选择留在车站等待。失去财富的埃伦与失去工作的彼得之间，会擦出怎样的火花？
