一对青年夫妇费尔南多（费尔南多·赛布里安饰演）和特丽莎（杰拉丁·卓别林饰演）以及好友安东尼奥（胡安·加利亚多饰演）周末出行。汽车行进中，三人闲谈着环境污染、人口剧增等社会问题，特丽莎与安东尼奥下车独处时，费尔南多会拿出望远镜偷窥妻子的举动。帮助路人汽车灭火之后，三人抵达费尔南多的姑姑家，特丽莎的情绪非常低落，而费尔南多对妻子的不信任还在加剧。
三人来到出行的终点-海边，费尔南多对于特丽莎的猜忌达到顶峰，在他看来，好友安东尼奥和妻子特丽莎举止暧昧，毫不顾忌他的感受。混沌之中，他隐约看到安东尼奥和特丽莎偷情，最终自己用鱼枪将安东尼奥刺死。然而，这些都是费尔南多臆想的产物，三人...
