◎简 介
伊丽莎白·泰勒年仅十二岁时主演的成名作，她在片中饰演极爱骑马的女孩维拉韦．布朗，偶然遇到退役骑师盖隆尼，邀他回家用膳。布朗先生让他留下来工作，维拉韦乃希望他帮忙训练爱驹参加全国马术大赛。然而布朗家并无足够的钱支付报名费，直至母亲给她一笔在多年前赢得的英吉伦海峡游泳比赛的奖金才解决问题。在温馨感人的伦理故事结束后，是一场压轴的精彩马术大赛，将观众情绪带至高潮。导演克拉伦斯·布朗拍出了一部水准甚高的家庭电影，年轻的泰勒固然表现出少女的朝气和梦想，童星出身的盖隆尼在指导另一个新童星时也感情高度投入，演来浑身是戏。三十多年后他再度与另一童星泰坦．欧尼尔主演本片续集《玉女情怀》。
