相识时，伊莲娜（娜齐达·马奇纳 Nadezhda Markina 饰）和弗拉基米尔（安德烈·斯米尔诺夫 Andrei Smirnov 饰）都已经步入中年，为了孤独的人生能有人陪伴，两人走到了一起。弗拉基米尔的经历和富有让他冷酷而又无情，面对丈夫如此糟糕的个性，由于贫穷而一直处于弱势地位的伊莲娜一直都默默的忍受着。
