◎简 介
斯塔（萨莎·莱恩 Sasha Lane 饰）带着妹妹和酒鬼父亲过着相依为命的生活，姐妹两人靠着在垃圾堆里捡别人吃剩的食物过活，不仅如此，斯塔还承受着来自父亲的侵犯和猥亵，精神在压抑中渐渐趋向绝望。某日，斯塔在偶然之中认识了名为杰克（希亚·拉博夫 Shia LaBeouf 饰）的男子，杰克是一支杂志推销团队里的领头人物，在杰克的邀请下，斯塔最终下定决心登上了驶往自由的面包车，彻底离开了荒谬不堪的原生家庭。
就这样，斯塔成为了一名杂志推销员，由杰克负责指导。在此过程中，杰克和斯塔之间产生了炙热的感情，然而杰克一直以来和他们的顶头上司克里斯塔（莱莉·科奥 Riley Keough 饰）保持着肉体关系。这段注定见不得光的恋情让斯塔体味到了别样的辛酸和悸动。
