意大利恐怖片大师达里欧阿金图，又有新的作品「夺命游戏」（The Card Player）要来挑战宝岛影迷的胆量。片中达里欧将在线扑克游戏变成玩命赌局，如果无法取得胜利，就有一条人命会被牺牲。片子里不时出现逼真骇人的腐烂尸体，使新闻局将之裁定为青少年及儿童不宜观赏的限制级电影。
现今7、8年级的观众可能无法想象，在1970年代后半期，达里欧阿金图的作品及一票血腥残酷的意大利恐怖片，曾经在台湾造成轰动，大都创下卖座佳绩。达里欧执导的「坐立不安」（Suspiria）描述一名少女前往德国芭蕾舞学院求学，却在校内碰上一连串恐怖凶杀，芭蕾舞的优雅与谋杀的残忍恰成强烈对比，使这部风格独特的影片在世界各地都被推崇为恐怖片经典之作。
由于达里欧阿金图扬名立万，连带让意大利恐怖片受到重视，包括描述殭尸入侵纽约的「生人回避」（Zombie）、伪纪录片－「人食人实录」（Cannibal Holocaust）等都曾引起不少话题。达里欧在1985年启用当年还是新人的珍妮弗康纳莉主演「惊变」（Phe-nomena），除了在日本卖座颇佳外，世界也有不错回响。
