◎简 介
故事发生在位于拉丁美洲的秘鲁，在当地殖民的西班牙总督订购了一辆外表非常夸张的黄金马车，马车拉着一个表演喜剧意大利剧团从荷兰远道而来，而美丽聪明的卡米娜（安娜·玛格纳妮 Anna Magnani 饰）就是剧团中的一员。
当地有一个非常有名的斗牛士，在剧团表演期间，观众的注意力全被这个斗牛士给吸引了，这让卡米娜感到非常的不高兴，但很快的，斗牛士就爱上了卡米娜。总动委托剧团前往总督府演出，实际上是为了取悦他的情人侯爵夫人。演出后，总督也爱上了卡米娜，再加上卡米娜本来的男友比利，三个男人为了争夺卡米娜而上演了一出好戏。
