BBC One已经预订了一部三集的新剧《火药》（Gunpowder），灵感来源于Kit Harington去年10月看中的关于Guy Fawkes的惊悚故事，对，就是电影《V字仇杀队》中V效仿的原型。
1605年，Guy Fawkes和一群天主教徒在英国国会大厦埋下36桶炸药，企图刺杀詹姆士一世，从而使天主教重掌政权。但就在刺杀前晚，计划败露，Guy Fawkes被捕，最终被处死。英国人民至今还在原定阴谋实施那天即11月5日举行Guy Fawkes Night（篝火之夜）来庆祝。
