单镜头喜剧《基南秀》讲述主角Kenan（Kenan Thompson饰）的妻子过身后，面对两个女儿（Dani Lockett及Dannah Lockett饰）他只能身兼父母两职，而同时间他的岳父还一直徘徊在主角身边。Andy Garcia饰演岳父Percy，退休警官的他是个顽固的人。Punam Patel饰演Erica，Kenan的忠心好友及同事。
