《铁锈》是部家庭剧，背景在宾夕法尼亚州西南部的锈带小镇（锈带指美国东北部的一个地区，来由是以前区盛产钢铁产业，但后来工厂关门，只余下生锈大门）里，主角是警长Del Harris（Jeff Daniels饰）。
