Duntsch是美国达拉斯一名神经外科医生，医术界新秀，聪明有魅力，但本应治病救人的他却悄悄对病患下手，让人在最脆弱时受致命伤害——在接受他做完的复杂但常规的脊柱手术后，33名病人死亡或瘫痪、残废。几年来Duntsch逍遥法外，直到逐渐有同事发现了问题，两名医生和一个助理检察官开始探寻他的罪行。2017年，他被判处无期徒刑，这是美国历史上第一例“医生因为在手术室的行为被定罪”。
