第二季的故事内容发生到Carrie（克莱尔·丹妮丝 Claire Danes 饰）电击疗法的六个月之后。手术情况良好的Carrie在中情局当起了老师，闲暇时种花浇菜，生活也算颇有情调。Brody（戴米恩·路易斯 Damian Lewis 饰）终于在美国国会有了一席之地，一面他按照Nazir的指令窃取美方情报，另一面却考虑接受一个更诱人的职位。Carrie以前的同事们恳求她重新出山去黎巴嫩首都贝鲁特执行一项任务，因为只有她最合适。Carrie不顾家人的劝告毅然重返贝鲁特，去参加一次可能永远除掉Abu Nazir的行动。Carrie和Brody是否还会有交集？他们的各自的命运将如何发展？
