Gallagher家的金童Lip完成了康复治疗，带着对酗酒问题的新认识回来了，他对自己的前景表示悲观。与之相反，曾经精神很不稳定的Ian如今有了一份正式职业（急救员），还收获了令人满意的爱情。Debbie仍然不知道如何做一个好母亲，即将成年的Carl必须做出一些重大决定。Fiona决心自己要活出个人样来，但是Gallagher家的其他人在没有她这个主心骨的情况下是否会分崩离析？Alicia Coppola扮演严肃的蓝领女性...
