◎简 介
小学三年级学生萨兹器和5岁的妹妹梅依跟着父亲从城里搬到乡下去住。他俩在房子里碰到了很多奇怪的小精灵，还看见了小精灵们的活动及它们坐的猫汽车。他们得到了小精灵赠送的礼物橡树籽，还看到了他们的神奇力量：借着大风能瞬间将橡树籽变成大橡树。一天，妹妹梅依去看望生病住院的母亲时迷了路。大家都找不到梅依。萨兹器急中生智，去求特特罗帮助。特特罗叫来猫汽车，帮助他找到了妹妹．并把他俩送到母亲所住的医院里。
幕后制作
影片把大自然比作慈样的父亲和父亲的权威。大自然有自己的节律，有自己的激动和悲哀、失望和喜悦。通过特特罗活跃的世界，对大自然孕育的母子关系进行了完整的描述，显示了孩子们有孩子们的特权，他们可以象小精灵一样带着理所当然的神色眺望大人的世界。因而成为现实社会中纯真、开朗的理想典型。本片还反映了日本民族的传统心理。反映了对大和民族所生存的自然环境赋予这个民族的遗产的深沉爱情。本片获《电影旬报》十佳奖第一名、读者评选十佳奖第一名、每日电影竞赛奖的日本电影大奖等多项大奖。
