◎简 介
卡尔（马特·狄龙 Matt Dillon饰）和莫利（凯特·哈德森 Kate Hudson饰）的新婚生活眼看就要甜甜蜜蜜的铺开，此时却来了个不速之客：卡尔的老友杜普瑞（欧文·威尔逊 Owen Wilson饰）。这个家伙行为怪异，思想奇特，有自己一套慵懒散漫的生活方式。如今他倒了大霉，被公司解雇，随后无家可归，好心的卡尔收留他住下，并不介意杜普瑞给自己新婚生活带来的麻烦。
杜普瑞的生活上的种种疯狂行径却已经让莫利忍无可忍，那些近乎荒唐的生活闹剧严重地影响了夫妻两人原本平静的生活。然而出人意料的是，杜普瑞跟街坊们打成一片，个个都受到他性格的感染。与之相反的是，卡尔的工作非常忙碌，分给家庭的时间日渐减少。于是杜普瑞更像是这里的男主人。不止邻居，就连莫利，也渐渐喜爱上这个电灯泡。这个三人同居的困境，到了非解决不可的地步。
