アンチェイン梶というボクサーがいた。リングネームの"アンチェイン"はレイ?チャールズの名曲『Unchain my Heart』から取った。"心の鎖を解き放て！"、まさにその歌のように梶は生きた。ボクサーとしての戦績は6敗1引き分け。たった1度も勝てなかった。引退後、梶は大阪の釜ケ崎で『とんち商会』という会社を設立する。労働者に仕事を紹介する手配師をおもに、探偵でも迷子のペット探しでも、殺し以外ならなんでもやった。だが仕事はうまくいかず、浴びるように飲む酒とボクシングの後遺症で梶の奇行はどんどんエスカレートしていく。 1995年5月5日、ある労働者から、賃金を支払ってもらってないと、とんち商会の事務所に脅迫まがいの電話が何度もかかる。激高した梶は黄色いペンキを頭からかぶり、タクシーに箱乗りして、釜ケ崎のあいりんセンターへ殴り込む。たった一人の暴動。手にレンチとトンカチを持って、叫びながら。「おまえら、起きて働け！ そこのオッサン、立ちションすな！」殴り込みに行く前、梶は3人のボクサーに電話した。ガルーダ?テツ、永石磨、西林誠一郎。『アンチェイン』はこの4人のボクサーを5年間ほど追いかけた青春映画だ。
