卡塔丽亚·雷斯特雷波（佐伊·索尔达娜 Zoe Saldana 饰）在十岁时目睹自己的父母被哥伦比亚毒品大王唐·路易斯残酷杀害。逃出生天的卡塔丽亚逃到了芝加哥，投奔了叔叔埃米利奥，他也是一个黑帮分子。
埃米利奥尽量让卡拉勒娅远离黑帮生活的影响，但卡塔丽亚一心想成为一名职业杀手。25岁的她终于变成了一个经验丰富、冷酷无情的刺客，她平时为叔叔埃米利奥工作，但内心里的目标却是为自己的父母展开复仇，干掉毒品大亨唐·路易斯。
为了复仇，没有什么可以阻止卡塔丽亚，不管是舅舅埃米利奥、还是FBI、CIA官员，虽然卡塔丽亚为舅舅埃米利奥全家遇害而内疚，但更坚定了她复仇的决心，也让毒品大亨唐·路易斯和他的同伙陷入了死亡的恐惧中.....
