在相信魔法存在的东方，从小梦想成为魔女的琪琪（小芝风花 饰）终于迎来了13岁的月圆之夜。她带着黑猫吉吉（寿美菜子 配音），告别了爸爸（筒井道隆 饰）妈妈（宫泽理惠 饰），带着祝福踏上了为期一年的修业之旅。历经艰辛，琪琪看中了伫立在大海中央的港口城市克里克，面带笑容的她得到了经营面包房的索娜阿姨（尾野真千子 饰）的接纳，于是决定在这里开展她的快递送货业务。在此期间，她与热爱飞行器的少年蜻蜓（广田亮平 饰）误会，也通过送货结交了许多朋友。谁知动物园小河马患病的消息，却让她背负上诅咒的恶名。忧心忡忡的琪琪，突然丧失了飞翔的能力……
本片根据角野荣子的同名原作改编，此前该作品曾被宫崎骏拍成动画搬上银幕。
