克劳迪欧（弗兰·克兰兹 Fran Kranz 饰）和女友希罗交往多年，两人之间感情十分稳定，携手步入婚姻殿堂的感情结局已是板上钉钉，目前，两人正怀着激动的心情筹备着他们盛大的婚礼。自己的婚姻大事有了着落，这对新人们便开始“多管闲事”起来，两人的朋友班尼迪克（埃里克斯·德尼索夫 Alexis Denisof 饰）和碧翠丝（艾米·阿克 Amy Acker 饰）成为了他们的目标。
碧翠丝是一位典型的现代女性，她思维活络，伶牙俐齿，有着不属于男子的精神气。而班尼迪克则是典型的大男子主义，他甚至有终身不婚的大胆想法，当这一对性格针锋相对的男女碰到一起，少不了唇枪舌剑锋芒毕露，不过，感情的萌芽亦在火热的交锋之中逐渐茁壮。
