在这个系列3个小时的纪录片，训练有素的海洋生物学家和前皇家海军陆战队Monty Halls 探索澳大利亚大堡礁。这个非同寻常的水下生态系统，是世界自然奇观之一，是地球上最大的生态结构。
为了揭开2300公里大堡礁的秘密，Monty Halls从珊瑚海野外珊瑚礁到海岸的红树林和热带雨林，并从大山区海岛到略高于海平面的微小的珊瑚群岛。
