良心备受谴责的艾迪找到了罗丝，一番道歉后两人重归于好。在言谈之中，艾迪和罗丝都惊讶的发现他们的身上存在着诸多的共同点，随着时间的推移，两人之间的关系越来越亲密。艾迪即将上战场了，他和罗丝约定，待他归来之时，两人再度相会。没想到，艾迪这一走就是四年。四年后，依然念想着罗丝的艾迪回到了他们相遇的那间餐厅，但一切早已物是人非。
