秀仁和妻子结婚数年，两人一直十分恩爱。某日，秀仁的妻子被卷入了一宗谋杀案中成为了被害者，而无辜的秀仁则被定罪为凶手，即将面临漫长的牢狱生涯。不仅如此，最让秀仁感到崩溃的是，一直以来贤惠温柔的妻子，竟然在外面有着秘密的情人。某日，秀仁在监狱中结识了名为尚炳的囚犯，听闻了秀仁的遭遇，尚炳决定帮助这个绝望但是善良的男人。在尚炳的协助下，秀仁越狱成功，他想要查明案件的真相，将真正的凶手绳之于法。然而等待着秀仁的只有失败，心灰意冷的他来到一间位于海边的小餐馆工作，遇见了那里的老板娘美雅，两个孤独的人之间碰擦出了爱情的火花。
