纪录片导演Marshall Curry的处女作，以纽约市Newark地区的市长竞选为题材，跟踪拍摄了2002年Cory Booker与连任16年的老市长Sharpe James之间，为了选票而各自进行的努力，James利用职权，用各种不光彩的手段破坏Booker的竞选努力，从中体现出了美国民主竞选的不健全，同时也提到了黑人的种族歧视问题，及各类社会问题。

This documentary follows the 2002 mayoral campaign in Newark, New Jersey in which the Cory Booker attempted to unseat longtime mayor Sharpe James.
