1945的夏天，八个从集中营出来的孩子找到一个废弃孤儿院并把那里当做了临时藏身之处，在森林中隐居下来。战争过后，孩子们看起来即将恢复正常的生活。可是天有不测风云，平静的生活被打破，以前的噩梦又回来了。在森林附近，猎犬在狂吠和搜寻着气味，这些狗也从集中营而来，是在集中营被解放之前被那里的军官释放的。就这样，一群被训练过用于执行死刑的猎犬包围着这些孩子。没有食物和水的孩子们陷入了绝境，但真正的危险潜伏在房屋之中。
