今年4月23日是英国剧作家莎士比亚（William Shakespeare）逝世400周年，这位大文豪生前创作过很多经典戏剧，直至今日仍被世界各国的艺术家排演，经久不衰。好莱坞同样喜爱改编他的作品，这不，最近又有两部莎翁剧即将被搬上大银幕。

第二部被改编的莎翁剧是《李尔王》（King Lear），这部悲剧讲述了李尔王和他三个女儿的故事，大女儿和二女儿嘴巴甜，讨得李尔王的欢心，得到了他的国土，小女儿耿直，说话不讨喜，结果被驱逐。但后来李尔王才发现，说得动听的人未必真的对自己好，大女儿和二女儿得到国土后对李尔王非常不孝，反倒是被李尔王驱逐的小女儿对他始终牵挂。

新版《李尔王》同样把故事搬到了现代，片名也被改成《李尔家族》（The Lears），老牌演员布鲁斯·邓（Bruce Dern）将在片中饰演“李尔”，他是一个世界著名的先锋派建筑师，在退休前他把自己的四个孩子及其配偶召集在了一起，通过测试他们对自己的爱，来决定把自己的公司传给谁。

《李尔家族》由Carl Bessai自编自导，NeoClassics Films和Raven West Films公司联合制作。
