罗斯（约翰·特拉沃尔塔 John Travolta 饰）是宾夕法尼亚电视台的一名天气预报员，爱慕虚荣的他贷款购置了豪宅与豪车，虽然过着人人羡慕的生活，但实际上，他在背地里背负着巨额的债务。罗斯还债的全部希望都寄托在雪车的销售商，哪知道天不遂人愿，暖冬的来临让雪车根本就没有任何的销路，眼看着每个月的账单像雪片一样的纷纷而来，罗斯只得求助于歪门邪道。
