在泰萨的父亲逝世后，刘易斯请来泰萨的爷爷助泰萨姐妹一臂之力。同行而来的还有泰萨的小姑弗洛伦斯，刘易斯很快与她坠入爱河。为情所难的泰萨则与姐姐一同被送往教会学校学习，而她不愿就此罢休，擅自逃离学校后，她要不顾一切的挽回这份时间错位而超越年龄的爱情……
