◎简 介

本片跟一般律师题材的不同，在于它把约翰写成了真的撒旦，因此帕西诺的夸张非但不突兀，反而很出彩。影片的摄影和美工露了一手，主角的表演也真实可信，但影片节奏把握不当，中间段落太拖。

·阿尔·帕西诺扮演的角色名字来自《失乐园》的作者约翰·弥尔顿。《失乐园》以史诗一般的磅礴气势揭示了人的原罪与堕落。片中的台词“Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven”(宁在地狱为王，不到天堂当差)也来自于书中。
·为了准备角色，查里兹·塞隆在三个月的拍摄期间每天都去纽约一位精神病学家那里“练习精神分裂”一个钟头。
