娜丁去埃斯科巴那里取回他给自己拍的照片时，发现他已被人杀死，回到家后才发觉她在匆忙中拿错了照片。口袋里装的是公路地图，她一时无法将它与摄影师的死联系起来。 　　弗农和情人伊萨贝拉打得火热，现在他只关心自己的酒吧，两人准备离婚。娜丁答应了他的离婚请求，但是作为条件，他得去摄影师家帮助她取回她的照片。弗农偶然发现了地图，觉得是天赐良机，可以帮助自己摆脱财务上的困境。于是他悄悄地拿走了地图。地图的主人布福德一伙为了找回地图抓走了娜丁，她交不出地图。而弗农却拿着它找到表哥，向他筹借5万元，两人合股分配利润。他万万没有料到，表哥竟然又和布福德一伙合作，将弗农和娜丁陷入危险的境地。
