故事发生在第一次世界大战期间，玛丽（克拉拉·鲍 Clara Bow 饰）暗恋着英俊的杰克（查尔斯·巴德·罗杰斯 Charles 'Buddy' Rogers 饰），可是杰克的心思却全部放在了大小姐西尔维娅（乔拜娜·劳斯顿 Jobyna Ralston 饰）身上，无奈西尔维娅亦有她的心上人，那就是富家子弟大卫（理查德·阿伦 Richard Arlen 饰）。
