◎简 介
故事发生在1917年，威尔（麦肯齐·阿斯丁 Mackenzie Astin 饰）过着和父亲杰克（约翰·泰瑞 John Terry 饰）相依为命的生活，不幸的是，意外发生了，杰克失去了生命，留下形单影只的威尔，他不仅要想方设法自己照顾自己，还要想办法照看父亲位于南达科他州的农场，他最需要也最缺少的，就是钱。
为了赚钱，威尔决定去温尼伯参加奖金丰厚的雪橇犬马拉松比赛。尽管获得了奈德（奥古斯特·斯彻伦伯格 August Schellenberg 饰）的帮助，但威尔依旧面临着巨大的挑战。恶劣的天气，频发的事故，五百英里的遥远路途，在重重的困难之间，身形单薄的威尔能够顺利到达终点，完成自己的愿望吗？
