該女導演的首作，意指世俗故事，有意說盡“男人故事”，帶出階級化，制度化，父權，社會隔閡等話題，其中插敘宇宙超新星誕生的銀河意象，放入一點泰國生活中的宗教色彩，以紀錄片方式的人類出生的震撼畫面結尾。
獲鹿特丹電影節最佳電影老虎獎。
