剧情讲述阿宝是一个32岁的成年男子，可是对外面的世界毫无兴趣，整日只会用望远镜来偷窥别人。他很想看电视，可从来没看过，因为专制的父亲不让他们买电视。为了反抗父亲的权威，阿宝抓住每一个机会与他作对，要不然就故意让他出丑。而夹在他们之间的母亲虽不敢明目张胆的反抗丈夫，却曲意维护儿子。后来阿宝出走，遇到了美丽的脱衣舞女郎，从此引出了一系列的笑话。
华麦丹自编自导自演的一部荒诞喜剧，在他巧妙的处理下，将这部近似乱伦的四角恋片子搞得相当精彩有趣，对现代家庭伦理的讽刺尤其出色。
