韩国战争结束之后小白山脈天王峰脚底下的一个村落，男人们因为战争而死去使得这里变成了寡妇村。有一天智异山共军奎福（申荣均饰）来到了村子，詹礼（朱宗女饰）帮助他隐藏起来，二人的心也自然而然地走近了。不久关于来了一个男人的新闻开始在村子里到处传开了，两人的关系最终被跟踪詹礼的司月（度金凤饰）所发现，她以告发奎福来威胁，使得奎福和她发生关系。不久之后剿灭共匪的扫荡展开了，奎福藏身的林子却突然燃起了山火，为了躲避山火而逃出森林的奎福最终被子弹击中身亡。
