格雷戈的名字在美语中很容易被理解成“同性恋•性交者”的意思，有着这么个稀奇古怪的名字，注定格雷戈拜见未来岳父之行不会如他所料那般顺利。

果然，当他们来到了潘米拉家时，格雷戈虽然表现得文质彬彬，但当他总是插话时力图幽默却效果相反时，未来岳父（罗伯特•德尼罗 Robert De Niro 饰）的脸色越来越难看。
