◎简　　介

哈珀（杰西·巴克利 Jessie Buckley 饰）刚刚结束了自己的婚姻，这场婚姻对于她来说简直就是一场噩梦。哈珀的丈夫詹姆斯（帕帕·厄希度 Paapa Essiedu 饰）是一个非常神经质，且占有欲很强的男人，在无数次激烈的争吵之后，哈珀终于决定离开他。可是，就在这个节骨眼上，詹姆斯在哈珀的眼前坠楼死亡了。

这件事情虽然将哈珀从这段窒息的感情之中拯救了出来，却也给她的心灵蒙上了挥之不去的阴影。为了疗伤，哈珀来到了风景秀丽的乡村，在那里租了一间大房子。刚开始，这里宁静的生活让哈珀渐渐淡忘了伤痛，可渐渐的，她周围出现的各种各样行为诡异令她感到不适的男人们彻底打破了这丝宁静。
